Digital changes have led to a Fourth Industrial Revolution. The speed of change in the digital arena has led some commentators to suggest that present educational practice has lost its way. It is essential for learning and learner profiles to match the needs of young people in school. This presentation reviews recent pedagogy to ask questions such as: Can present taxonomies reference learning appropriately in the new digital era – or are new models needed? How can learner profiles and pedagogy mesh more effectively with the use of digital technology by students both in and out of the classroom?

أدّت التغيُّرات الرقمية إلى إحداث الثورة الصناعية الرابعة. فقد أدت سرعة التغيير في المجال الرقمي ببعض المعلّقين إلى القول بأن الممارسات التعليمية الحالية قد ضلّت طريقها. من المهم أن تتوافق طبيعة التعلُّم وملامح المتعلّم مع حاجات الشباب في المدارس. يراجع هذا العرض التقديمي التربويات الحديثة من خلال طرح أسئلة مثل: هل يمكن للتصنيفات الحالية الإشارة إلى التعلُّم على نحوٍ مُلائم في المرحلة الرقمية الجديدة؟ أو؛ هل هنالك حاجة لنماذج جديدة؟ كيف يمكن أن تندمج ملامح المتعلّمين والتربية بشكل أكثر فعاليةً مع استخدام التكنولوجيا الرقمية من قِبل الطلبة سواءً داخل المدرسة أو خارجها
