Speaking not only having spoken in one task, but being aware of what learners do to speak well (better than they usually can) and how they can take that strategy or sub skill into some other speaking contexts.
Everyone in class has some knowledge of the generic features of telling anecdotes used in their L1, so tweaking this knowledge by looking at generic features and language functions in L2 will help learners raise their meta-cognitive skills of how to tell stories in English while keeping listeners engaged.

By the end of this workshop participants will be able to:
- Identify language functions and generic features for learners when telling anecdotes.
- Develop learners’ fluency by speaking in more length about real and/or made up incidents.
