Modeling instruction in high school organizes the course around a small number of models .It provides an instructional framework that mimics how scientists “do science”.Students will be using observations and evidence that they can use to construct and refine conceptual models of physical phenomena. This instruction has been a real success in my classes where the fragmentation of knowledge and the modling of concepts helped students to understand the macro observations of phenomena at the microscale level .

By the end of this workshop participants:
- Will gain useful ideas on how to facilitate a model-centred, guided-inquiry method of instruction that serves to both enhance students’ learning of concepts and core ideas in Chemistry as well as to develop a better understanding of the practices of science.
- Will have the opputunity to understand the modeling pedagogogy by playing the role of their students ,then they will be asked to reflect on their practice and how they can apply this technique in their classes.
