Research shows that parent involvement can improve students' behavior, engagement and achievement. Parent involvement in schools is much more than parent conferences and baking cakes. In this workshop, participants will learn about practical ways in which schools can involve and engage parents in school life. Participants will explore parent involvement strategies and plan for possibilities for parental engagement and partnership in their own school contexts.

By the end of this workshop participants will be able to:
- Understand the importance to have parents as partners in the education of their children.
- Think about and reflect on practices for parent involvement and partnership.
- Collaboratively plan for possible structures and systems to be set in schools to invite parent partnership.
